The Clacton-on-Sea Carnival is held annually in August and starts Carnival Week.
Events are held each day during Carnival Week, these include a Showtime, Sea angling, Donkey derby, Sandcastle competition, Fireworks display and Quiz night.
Clacton Carnival is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike, it enjoys a real seaside party atmosphere and is a credit to the organising team.

Procession Route:
The Procession starts from West Road carpark at 6pm., and proceeds along the entire seafront to its junction with Victoria Road.
2010 Carnival
The Procession enjoyed its usual party atmosphere despite the weather not being very kind prior to the Procession, it did however stay dry while the Procession took place and certainly didn't dampen anyones enjoyment, the organisers were delighted by the amount of participants that took part and the throngs of people that lined the route.
