The 2010 Colchester Carnival is to be held on Saturday 4th. September

On Saturday 5th September 2009 Colchester town centre played host to the first Colchester Carnival in 10 years. For more information visit the Colchester Carnival website via the link above.
Procession Information:
The Procession starts from its assembly at Hyderabad and Meanee Barracks,
at 2.45 pm.
Procession route:
On leaving Hyderabad and Meanee Barracks it proceeds right into Mersea Road left into Southway then right into Head Street, Right into The High Street right into Queen Street across Southway at St Botolph’s Circus into Mersea Road then left into Hyderabad and Meanee Barracks.
Colchester Carnival 2009
2009 attracted huge crowds estimated at 35,000 people with 1,000 people in the procession. In 2009 the procession took approximately half an hour to pass, in 2010 it is estimated it will take an hour and a half.
