The 2009 Mersea Carnival was held on Saturday 15th. August

Mersea Carnival is held annually in August. The Carnival has a real community feel to it with locals and holiday-makers enjoying the day. A fete is held with lots of activities including arena acts on the School playing field in Barfield Road.
Procession Information:
The Procession starts from its assembly at Willoughby Car Park at 1pm.
Procession Route:
Turning right from the car park along the Esplanade, right into Brownhills Road, left into Yorik Road, right into the High Street then right into Barfield Road ending on the School playing field.
2009 Mersea Carnival
The Mersea Island Carnival enjoyed a nice sunny day which certainly brought the crowds out, arena acts were in fill swing all afternoon entertaining holiday makers and locals alike.
