The Southend-on-Sea Carnival is an illuminated Carnival held annually in August, it is the culmination of Carnival Week.

Procession Information:
The Procession starts from its assembly at the Lower part of Chalkwell Avenue and Chalkwell Esplanade at 7.45 pm., it arrives at the Pier around 8.30 pm where it takes a break for 15 minutes for a firework display.
Procession Route:
From Chalkwell Esplanade along the entire southern carraigeway of Southend-on-Sea sea front finishing at the junction of Victoria road and Eastern Esplanade.
2009 Carnival
The Procession enjoyed a real party atmosphere as the weather was a really nice summer evening, the organisers were delighted by the amount of floats that took part and the thousands of people that lined the route.
